Venue Hire

Located on the corner of Nicholson and Princes St Carlton, amidst our beautiful community garden, CNLC offers spaces for hire. Individuals can book one-off hires through CNLC’s Community Venue Hire program, or ongoing bookings if they have public liability insurance.

Venue hire includes access to refreshments and amenities. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, kettle, urn, and basic utensils.

Note: Rooms are occupied during CNLC business hours.

Garden and venue hire

Hire the garden or rooms – for birthdays, gatherings, meetings, functions and events. We also have a yarning circle space in the garden.

The Panayota Miller room

  • 1 large room (or 2 rooms separated by accordion wall)
  • Room seats 24-30 (or each room seats up to 15 people)
  • Tables can be packed away to seat more
  • Access to kitchen
  • Access to garden spaces 

This room is great for birthday parties, workshops, public meetings or staff planning days.

The Sarah Deasey room

  • Ceiling mounted projector
  • Seats approx. 20 people with tables and chairs 
  • Access to Kitchen
  • Inside the main house

This room is great for staff or board meetings, small workshops or presentations.

The Mary Parfrey room

  • Ceiling mounted projector
  • Seats approx. 12 people with tables and chairs
  • Access to kitchen 

This room is great for committee or small group meetings, support groups, or reading groups.

Garden and venue hire

You can hire indoor or outdoor space at CNLC. The outdoor space is perfect for events when the weather is nice. Or book a combination of room and garden.

Rates and documents

Key documents:

All groups must pay a $50 bond, refunded on return of the key and room/venue inspection.

Please email finance@cnlc.org.au to request the reimbursement, alternatively you may choose to donate the $50 which would be an incredible support for our community.

Changes to the above payment arrangements can be negotiated with the CEO.
