You can enrol at any time throughout the year and study for up to 5 days per week. Full time or part time study is available.

Pre Training interview
A Pre Training Interview is conducted before enrolment. At the interview we assess the prospective students’ eligibility, English language proficiency and how the courses will contribute to goals for employment and further study.

Eligibility requirements
SKILLS FIRST
Victorian government-subsidised training places are available in our EAL courses according to a number of Eligibility criteria. Persons holding a qualification issued by an Australian VET or higher education provider that is at AQF level 5 (Diploma) or higher are not eligible for our EAL courses.
Students who are enrolled in the Commonwealth Government’s “Skills for Education and Employment” program are not eligible.
Prospective students must provide the following evidence of eligibility prior to enrolment.
- Evidence of citizenship or permanent residency. For students under 17 years of age, granted exemption from school attendance is required.
- Individuals who don’t meet the citizenship or residency requirements may be eligible if they hold specific humanitarian visas.
- A signed declaration regarding education history and number of courses enrolled in one year.

Adult Migrant English program (AMEP)


Learn about Australian society and culture, understand the Australian workplace and how to look for a job.
Free English language tuition to eligible migrants in order to reach vocational English level. Free childcare is available for eligible students. Please call to check eligibility.
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
Fee-for-service EAL
Fee-for-service places are available to community members who are not eligible for government subsidised places. Tuition fees are charged at an hourly rate, with the inclusion of a standard amenities fee.
