Adult Literacy

One to one Tuition for up to 2 hours per week with trained, supervised volunteer tutors.

Many adults, born in Australia and overseas, find that they are not able to manage the literacy demands of further study, everyday life and the workplace. This may be due to interrupted schooling, limited schooling or learning difficulties.

Our one to one tuition gives focused regular sessions that are customized according to the needs of the learner. Learners meet with a volunteer tutor on a weekly basis either in the day or early evening.

An informal literacy assessment Interview is conducted before enrolment. At the interview we determine the literacy needs of the student before finding a suitable tutor.

Cost per year: $50 concession / $90 non concession

Ring 9347 2739 with any queries or to organise an interview.
