Established Writers Workshop

Explore creative writing through practice and discussion.
Suitable for writers confident in their genre but open to development. Your poems, fiction or non-fiction welcome for discussion/feedback. Articles on writing skills, examples from some of the best poets and writers as well as writing prompts provided.

Times: Mondays 1.30pm - 3.30pm

Creative Writing Workshop

Learn and practice essential techniques and skills in the writing of fiction, poetry and memoirs. 
Many of the people who attend Myron's sessions have gone on to become published writers and have learned how to present their works at public readings.
The atmosphere of the sessions is supportive and friendly. This course is for people of all ages who have a desire to accomplish some creative writing. Myron will guide and encourage you to write in the field you wish to pursue, be it a novel, short stories, haiku, flash fiction, memoirs, children books, song lyrics or poetry. Suitable for both beginning and experienced writers. Bring something to write with and something to write on: pen, notebook, laptop, iPad, etc.

Alive & Active Program

Explore your creativity through movement, voice work, art and more. For people of all abilities. This course can be taken alone or with the Community Lunch.
Times: Thursdays 1.30 – 2.30pm
Dates: Term 2- 16 April - 29 June
Cost: $3 per session

Monday morning tea

A regular cuppa, morning tea and a chat, with occasional movies and outings. All Carlton seniors welcome. Held in 530 Lygon Street community hall.
Times: Mondays 10.00am-12.00pm

Enrolments and bookings are needed for all community development classes and activities. You can enrol in person, by email or over the phone. If you have a concession card please present it. Commencement depends on sufficient enrolments. Full fee payment is needed before commencing in a community development activity.  In cases of hardship, it is possible to negotiate payments.
