Welcome
Welcome to the Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre, a community managed not-for-profit organisation. We work with the people of Carlton and surrounding areas, particularly with those who experience disadvantage, to connect, learn, share skills and improve participation in work and community life. Our program covers a broad range of learning opportunities, with nationally recognised courses, preaccredited courses, workshops, volunteering and events. In addition to learning we offer employment and support services through our Open Door program. CNLC encourages individuals with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities.
We offer:
- Community Activities
- English Language
- Adult Literacy
- Creativity and Wellbeing
- Sustainability
- Computer classes
- Community Development
- Information and Referral
- Provision of Community garden spaces
- Carlton Compost Hub
- Carlton Cluckers (Chickens)
- Venue Hire
Under COVID Safe restrictions, we will deliver as many of our programs as possible face to face. If restrictions change, or if we are not able to deliver programs with the space and safety measures needed, we will use blended delivery with online classes on ZOOM and remote learning materials. Here is more information about CNLC's online service standard.
Please note that course or activity availability and dates may change. Please contact CNLC for the most up-to-date information.
